Introduction
Jenway Genova Nano spectrophotometer from Wolflabs. The Genova Nano measures small sample volumes as low as 0.5µl with a high degree of accuracy, reproducibility and speed. Cole-Parmer - Jenway 67 series of spectrophotometers from Wolflabs. There are three models in the 67 series - Model 6700 covers the visible range of the spectrum and has a 4nm bandwidth; Models 6705 and 6715 cover the UV/visible range of the spectrum and have a 4nm and 1.5nm bandwidth respectively. New UV-1800, UV-2600 and UV-3600 Plus spectrophotometers from Shimadzu have been added. 

Introduction
Shimadzu UV-1800 spectrophotometer from Wolflabs. Designed in accordance with the governing Japanese and European Pharmacopoeia, the new UV-1800 UV-VIS spectrophotometer achieves a resolution of 1 nm, the highest in its class, in a compact design. Offering an array of user-friendly features, the UV-1800 can be used either as a stand-alone instrument or as a PC-controlled instrument.

Features and benefits
-  The UV-1800 easily satisfies the standards of wavelength resolution demanded by the European Pharmacopoeia. Additionally, using a spectroscope with a Czerny-Turner mounting results in a compact, bright optical system. Stray light, wavelength repeatability and baseline stability have also been advanced to meet user requirements.
- Only 450 mm wide, the UV-1800 is one of the most compact instruments in its class, allowing installation in tight spaces. In comparison to the UV-1700, the setting space has decreased by about 15%, and the width has narrowed by about 20%.

4 Spectrophotometer Tips in Line with Sustainability

Wolflabs is committed to halve carbon emissions by 2030, and as many other companies look at ways they can be more sustainable, we have four tips on how to run your spectrophotometer more sustainably.

1.    Ensure air cooling fans and photo optics are free of dust by keeping away from air / ventilation ducts. 
2.    Periodically remove from the bench and clean underneath the machine in order to remove any dust that could be sucked into the unit.
3.    Prevent photo optics over heating by making sure the cooling vents are not obstructed.
4.    Certain readers are programmed to be energised whilst the unit is powered on – save costs by ensuring the unit is never left on longer than the manufacturer recommends.
