Greater protection and reliability in weighing hazardous powdered compounds

For researchers and laboratory technicians, the risks involved with handling toxic and high-potency compounds are considerable. Weighing even the smallest sample quantities can expose them to potential hazards. Appropriate protective measures must be taken to protect the health of all laboratory staff when they weigh hazardous compounds in powdered form. The Sartorius SWC Safety Weighing Cabinet offers important advantages in design and construction over traditional laboratory hoods: The SWC creates a contained area around the laboratory balance which prevents any air or finely powdered particulates from escaping into the operating personnel's work area. At the same time, the constant inlet air velocity and the special cabinet construction both keep the air current practically turbulence-free, and, as a result, ensure consistent and repeatable weighing results.

The balance and weighing cabinet are perfectly matched to each other. With its SWC Safety Weighing Cabinet, Sartorius has succeeded in uniting two otherwise contradictory requirements: maximum personnel protection and reliable weighing results.

The Safety Weighing Cabinets are available in four different dimensions for special applications, such as using a second laboratory balance in the cabinet or for unusually high structures:

Sartorius GPC Pipette Calibration Balances

The balances in the GPC series are ideally suited for gravimetric testing of the volume of any pipette size. A choice of sampling containers with capacities of 6 ml and 21 ml, respectively, enables you to test pipettes with a volume of up to 1,000µl, depending on the balance model you use. If you need to test volumetric apparatus that have a relatively high capacity, an optional 50 ml sampling container with a special pipette draft shield is available for GPC65-CW and GPC225-CW models.

Because these balances do not require an additional standard draft shield, this eliminates the need for opening and closing draft shield doors and saves considerable time. The calibration workstation’s modular design can be optimally adapted to your lab staff’s ergonomic needs..

Because the balances are standard-equipped with an evaporation trap, the humidity inside the sample chamber is maintained at 60 – 90% . Therefore, this prevents loss of liquid from the sampling container.

With the optional YDB01WZA carrying case, you can pack up your GPC pipette calibration balance along with the other accessories. Ambient conditions allowing, you have everything you need to calibrate your pipettes directly at the place of use.

Sartorius Expert LE Balances

Sartorius Expert LE26P : A Microbalance Spanning Two Worlds.

The new Expert LE26P microbalance features an out-of-the-ordinary weighing range structure. Its fine range of 5 g readable to 2 mg can be shifted anywhere within the entire weighing capacity of 21 g that has a coarse readability 10 mg. This means you can use the fine range continuously, even after taring a heavy container and still weigh-in a minimal sample quantity with the higher accuracy, as needed in many applications. The LE26P opens the door to new applications requiring strict compliance with the United States Pharmacopeia requirements. Enabling you to weigh a minimum sample quantity between 5 and 10 mg, attainable depending on the particular installation conditions, the LE26P closes the gap between maximum-resolution microbalances and semi-microbalances.

• Monolithic, 21st century robotically etched weigh cell, now a first in a microbalance featuring this resolution; precise and reliable; rugged design stands up to the rigors of daily lab use

This product series is available only in the following countries: Canada, Hong Kong, India, Japan, USA. The Sartorius Element is an entry-level balance for the laboratory, designed for multi-faceted and changing needs. The option of using high-capacity batteries means you can operate the balance independently of a power supply or in a stationary installation. Clear operator guidance features make it easy to adapt the balance to different applications.
