timed operation
MXB series sonics continuous or timed, from 0.1 to 99.9 minutes |
high performance
high power industrial piezoelectric transducers guarantee efficient operation
transducers are mounted in the optimum configuration to ensure that ultrasonic power is transmitted evenly throughout the tank, for consistent ultrasonic action in all parts of even the largest bath
sophisticated feedback circuit matches operating power to tank load, ensuring peak efficiency at all times |
Sizes: XB2, XB3, MXB6, MXB14 and MXB 22 litres
design features
baths are designed to be placed 'end-on' rather than 'sideways' on the bench for convenient access and observation, and for efficient utilisation of bench space
MXB14 and MXB22 litre baths have a drain for easy emptying
a recessed control panel protects the controls from water spillage and accidental alteration
quiet operation maintains a peaceful working environment
XB and MXB ultrasonic baths are robust and reliable, designed to stand up to everyday wear and tear |
safety
MXB6, MXB14 and MXB22 litre baths have dual safety features, for overtemperature and low liquid level
Ultrasonic - ultra-efficient
Piezoelectric transducers emit continuous alternating pressure through the liquid in the bath. The waves of high and low pressure cause bubbles to form, to increase in size and then to collapse violently. This process, called cavitation, acts on any object placed in the bath.
The gentle scrubbing action provides consistently quick and thorough cleaning. Cavitation works wherever an object is in contact with the liquid, cleaning even the most intricate and fragile objects inside and out. Ultrasonic cleaning gives a high standard of cleanliness in a fraction of the time required by conventional cleaning methods. It is also safer than manual cleaning if there is any danger of contamination or infection.
Ultrasonic action is also used to de-gas liquids before use in chromatography, to prevent cavitation in high pressure pumps, and to modify reactions in sonochemistry, such as inducing rapid crystallisation of materials.
Grant Shaking Water Baths
Linear/orbital shaking bath
Unique shaking mechanism
Grant's unique shaking mechanism allows both orbital and linear shaking within one product for maximum flexibility of application: a wide range of shaking protocols can be evaluated and executed within a single unit
the shaking mechanism is robust and reliable, for long term, steady shaking
easy transfer from orbital to linear motion simply by changing the orientation of the tray
adjustable shaking speed and stroke length allow you to set the optimal speed and agitation for your application
Adjustable shaking speed
maximum orbital speed: 20 to 200 rpm
maximum linear speed: 40 to 360 strokes/min
0 to 99°C operation
Stability ±0.1°C, uniformity ±0.1°C
high performance electronic control provides consistent, uniform, precisely controlled conditions for temperature sensitive applications
Digital setting and display
ensure accuracy and reproducibility of set temperature and shaking speed, for precise repeatability of procedures
constant display of actual liquid temperature and shaking speed for at-a-glance assurance that the equipment is functioning correctly
in linear motion the number of strokes/min is double the number displayed
Construction
each bath consists of a stainless steel tank in an outer case, with heater and temperature sensors mounted underneath the tank
the shaker trolley is operated by a magnetically coupled driver
Design features
quiet operation maintains a peaceful working environment
drain for easy emptying

Grant Refrigerated Thermostatic Bath Model GD200 R series - High Performance
The Grant OptimaTM GP200 series of digitally controlled refrigerated baths and re-circulators provides outstanding performance for routine and sophisticated applications requiring accurate temperature control in the range of -47 to 100°C.
Grant GP200 series refrigerated systems combine the powerful and versatile Grant Optima™ digital immersion thermostat GP200 with a choice of five rugged stainless steel refrigeration units with different facilities and working volumes.
The GP200 immersion thermostat incorporates Intelligent Control OptimisationTM (ICO) for adaptive intelligent PID temperature control and includes a powerful integral pump, making GP200 series refrigerated systems suitable both for immersing samples and circulating temperature controlled fluid to external devices. The temperature range and heater power are automatically limited according to the liquid type selected.
The GP200 control unit has a host of powerful and convenient programming features for optimum application flexibility. These include a convenient heater timer for early starts/late shutdowns, two programmable relays for switching external devices on/off, option for remote temperature monitoring, RS232 interface for PC communication and data collection, and memory capacity for five programs of up to 30 segments each.
- Simple-to-use rotor plus two keys provide access to the interactive interface for fast, accurate set-up
- Dual display: bright LED for temperature display plus 2-line 16 character LCD for easy programming
- Twin heaters, 2kW heater power for fast heat up
- Pt1000 external probe socket for remote monitoring
- Powerful integral pump with multi-stage variable flow rate, maximum flow 21L/min
- Operating setpoint plus 3 adjustable preset temperatures for convenience
- User calibration facility for optimum accuracy at the required operating temperature
- Variable high and low temperature alarm settings - configurable to switch relays
- Visual and audible alarm - alert you when your attention is required
- Choice of five operator languages
- Choice of five refrigerated (R) tanks with different facilities, working volumes and cooling capacities
- Cooling/heating range: -47 to 100°C (dependent on refrigeration unit selected)
- Stability ± 0.1°C
Note: The refrigeration unit can be switched off independently of the thermostat to allow heating only applications. All the refrigeration base units can be used up to a maximum temperature of 100°C.
