Sample compartment window plate Shimadzu standard type, humidity-resistant coated KRS-5, for operational environments with a non-condensing humidity range of 20-90%. This window option offers extreme resistance to high humidity locations or where high water content samples are regularly analysed. It delivers slightly lower levels of light throughput and sensitivity. KRS-5 material is thallium bromide (TlBr CAS 7789-40-4) + thallium iodide (TlI, CAS 7790-30-0).
