Photostability Chambers

A photostability test chamber is a type of climate chamber equipped with lighting that creates controlled light conditions, in addition to regulating temperature and humidity. These light climate chambers are used to conduct stability tests, which help determine the shelf life of various products. They are commonly employed in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and the food industry. Photostability testing evaluates the effects of temperature, humidity, and light exposure on a product. The samples are placed in the climate chamber, where they are maintained under specific conditions (consistent temperature, relative humidity, and light intensity) for a predetermined duration before assessing their stability. During testing, the materials are subjected to both visible light (VIS) and ultraviolet (UV) radiation, with UV radiation being significantly more intense than VIS.
