In 2005 we wrote an
environmental policy document with the aim of quantifying a clearly laid out
commitment to reducing our impact on the environment. The first part of the
project was to show that it is possible to increase the sales and profitability
of a company whilst simultaneously reducing its impact on the environment. If

we have achieved. Our sales have increased by 25% over the period and our impact
on the environment has
halved.
The second part of the project is in two parts. Firstly to promote
sustainable equipment and secondly to encourage our competitors to compete with
us on environmental performance. Wolf Laboratories has no more than 2% of its
market sector. This means that a 50% reduction in our carbon emissions is
probably worth less than a 1% reduction in the emissions of our biggest
competitors. We are therefore encouraging customers and potential customers to
raise the following points with other suppliers.
Leaflets and catalogues that go unprinted and the
car journeys not made could have a significant effect on the environmental
impact of our market sector.
