Following an assessment by an independent body, Wolf
Laboratories has been awarded ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. The ISO 9001 certification has only been
achieved by about 5% of UK businesses while the ISO 14001 has only been achieved
by less than 1% of UK businesses, and this prestigious award is supported by
the Government and recognised world-wide.
Jointly said a delighted Samantha Gillott and Georgia Hole "We have always been proud
of the service we offer our clients and the way that we conduct our business,
especially with regards to environmental matters.
Now with the awards of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, this has been confirmed by outside

FlowFAST V cabinets provide ISO Class 3 vertical
laminar-flow. The external air of the laboratory pass through the
prefilter on the top of the cabinet and then through the through the
HEPA H14 filter, with most of the part being exhausted from the
front and small percentage being recirculated trough the two series
of slots on the back wall. FlowFAST V cabinets operate in positive
pressure after sterilisation through the HEPA filter and provide
Class 100 air according to Federal Standard 209e. They therefore
protect the product from micro-organisms and air borne contaminants.
The two series slot on the back panel
and design of the working aperture provide an excellent flow
laminarity at the work level.

developed for the handling of very cold objects. Typically they are used for
handling objects stored in the vapour stage of liquid nitrogen (ranging from
-120°C to -190°C.
At actual liquid nitrogen temperature there is some stiffening of the material,
but it still remains flexible enough for use. |
14/10/11 - Practically proven safety with type 90 safety
storage cabinets - even in case of fire -
(Flammable
Storage Cabinets)
Recently, a fire broke out in the production hall at the VEDAG
company in Bamberg (Germany). Temperatures of between 1,000 and
2,000 degrees Celsius developed as a result - and for several hours
at that.
Inside the hall there was also a type 90 safety storage cabinet from
asecos. Around 70 litres of inflammable solvents were stored in it.
After the fire had been extinguished, the exterior of the safety
storage cabinet clearly showed the power of the forces that had
acted on it. Decisive, however, was the fact that the containers
stored inside - and thus their hazardous contents - were all intact
(see photo). The safety storage cabinet had lived up to its promise:
the enormous heat of the fire did not penetrate to the hazardous
materials in the safety storage cabinet.
Fortunately no-one came to harm in the blaze. If hazardous materials
are not stored appropriately, however, the hazard potential can be
significantly higher and the damage is often much more severe.
