Digital Gel Documentation Systems

MiniBIS gel documentation system

Superior, yet affordable, 16-bit gel documentation

MiniBIS uses a new high resolution camera combined with an advanced hood to deliver a superior gel documentation system at an affordable price. For maximum economy MiniBIS can be used with your existing transilluminator, computer and printer if desired.

The MiniBIS high sensitivity 16-bit camera captures superb 1280 x 1024 pixel images with 65536 grey levels  under a wide range of illumination conditions, including UV and white light. 16-bit images means that faint bands can be well defined even in low contrast images.

MiniBIS GelCapture software displays a full resolution live preview gel image on the PC display: what-you-see-is-what-you-get. There is full control of the camera using buttons on a single screen. The user’s capture parameters may be stored as preset buttons.

A wide range of gel analysis software options is available including GelQuant or TotalLab for simple gel analysis and BioNumerics or GelCompar for advanced fingerprinting applications.
